(NYSE: PX) announced today that it is implementing a transportation charge for bulk oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and helium, effective March 12, 2003. The charges will range from $25 to $50 per full-load delivery and will vary according to product. The transportation charge is necessitated by the dramatic rise in the cost of diesel fuel.
In addition, Praxair will also continue to utilize regional programs to recover costs related to the surging increase in energy costs arising from natural gas and oil prices.
