(Archived) Praxair Cryomag Services Signs Transfill and Service Contract with Magnaserv
DANBURY, Conn., December 2, 2003 — Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX) today announced that the Praxair Cryomag Services business has signed an agreement with MagnaServ, Inc. of Stuart, Florida to supply cryogen, transfilling services and cold head services to MagnaServ customers. MagnaServ is a nationwide Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) total service provider and selected Praxair Cryomag Services to take care of all transfilling and magnet related issues including magnet pressure and magnet recharging. The agreement is in place for five years. Praxair Cryomag Services will provide cryogen supply and magnet service to over 25 MagnaServ imaging centers and MRI installations.
"Prior to the creation of Praxair Cryomag Services, MagnaServ worked individually with Praxair as our national cryogen supplier and with Cryomag Services as a regional transfilling services provider," said Len Spooner, president of MagnaServ, Inc.
