(Archived) UCISCO, Tracer and Corrocon Join Forces To Become Praxair Services, Inc.
DANBURY, Conn., June 5, 2003 — Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX) today announced the formation of Praxair Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary. The new company offers comprehensive integrity assessment and control for tanks and piping, nitrogen and other portable gases, environmental drilling, pipeline hydro testing, and leak detection services. This consolidation under the Praxair Services, Inc. name follows the acquisition of Tracer Research Corporation and its subsidiary Corrocon by Praxair’s UCISCO business in the fourth quarter of 2002.
"Creating Praxair Services, Inc. will allow us to augment the UCISCO mobile nitrogen pumping and rapid-response cleaning, and inspection service expertise with premier leak detection technologies from Tracer Research and cathodic protection services from Corrocon," commented Praxair Services’ President, Bill Stoll.
