(Archived) Praxair Selected for Dow Jones Sustainability Index

DANBURY, Conn., September 9, 2005 — For the third consecutive year, Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX) has been selected as a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index. This puts Praxair among the top 10 percent of the world’s largest 2,500 companies in 34 countries that are included in the index because of their industry leadership in corporate sustainability.

The Dow Jones Sustainability World Index was launched in 1999 as the first equity benchmark to track the financial performance of leading corporations which are committed to sustainability on a global scale.
