(Archived) Praxair China Signs Contract with Huizhou BYD Electronics

SHANGHAI, China, March 17, 2009 — Praxair China has signed a contract with Huizhou BYD Electronics Co., Ltd. to supply liquid nitrogen for its light-emitting diodes (LED) manufacturing facility.

Huizhou BYD is located in the Xiangshui River Economic Development Zone of Daya Bay, in Guangdong Province, and is a subsidiary of BYD Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese enterprise engaged in the production of components for the electronics industry and auto manufacturing.

“This is an important contract with one of the fastest growing LED manufacturers in China and we anticipate additional business with BYD and others in the electronics industry,” said David Chow, president of Praxair China.
