(Archived) Praxair Increases Dividend in First Quarter 2009

DANBURY, Conn., January 28, 2009 — The board of directors of Praxair, Inc. (NYSE:PX) has increased Praxair's quarterly dividend to 40 cents per share from 37.5 cents per share. The dividend is payable on March 16, 2009 to shareholders of record on March 6, 2009.

"This action reflects the board’s confidence in Praxair’s ability to continue to deliver strong cash flow despite the challenging outlook ahead of us," said Steve Angel, chairman and chief executive officer.
