(Archived) Praxair Mexico Signs Contract with Fonderia
MONTERREY, Mexico, October 28, 2010 — Praxair Mexico, a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX), has signed a contract with Fondería to supply oxygen through a vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) plant. The plant is designed to increase Fondería’s productivity in its annual production of 600,000 tons steel.
Under this new contract, Praxair Mexico will supply 120 tons of oxygen per day and is expected to begin operations in the third quarter of 2011.
