MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Canada, June 14, 2011 — Praxair Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX), has completed the start-up of a cryogenic air separation plant to supply 900 tons per day of gaseous oxygen to Essar Steel Algoma Inc.’s steel mill located in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. The new plant is fully integrated with Praxair’s existing air separation facilities at Essar in Sault St. Marie, increasing the total installed capacity at the site to 2,700 tons per day.
