(Archived) Praxair Mexico Starts Up Oxygen Supply to Johnson Controls
MONTERREY, Mexico, May 3, 2011 — Praxair Mexico, a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX), has started up a new vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) plant to supply oxygen to Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI) in Mexico.
The new plant – built, owned, and operated by Praxair – has a capacity of 140 tons per day of oxygen and was installed with modern, energy-efficient technology. Johnson Controls uses oxygen in a new facility built to recycle lead acid batteries.
