(Archived) Praxair Selected as a Global Leader in Carbon Disclosure
DANBURY, Conn., September 21, 2011 — Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX) has been included in the Carbon Disclosure Project’s Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index, one of only ten companies to have achieved this distinction for four consecutive years. With a disclosure score of 93, Praxair is ranked the 23rd best performing company in the world for carbon disclosure; and the 9th best performing among the S&P 500.
The global carbon disclosure index is comprised of the leading 52 companies among 500 of the world's largest corporations. The disclosure index recognizes the quality and completeness of the selected companies’ reporting on carbon management.
