(Archived) Praxair Features New Products and Technical Presentations at WEFTEC
DANBURY, Conn., September 7, 2012 — Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX) today announced it will feature new high-purity oxygenation systems at the Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC) in New Orleans, LA, September 29-October 3, 2012. Additionally, scientists from Praxair’s Research and Development organization will be featured speakers at six technical sessions during the conference, providing data and insights into the process benefits of oxygen, carbon dioxide, gas delivery systems and other technologies that enhance productivity and control pH. Guests will be able to meet the speakers in the Praxair booth 2701 from 4PM until 6PM, on Monday,
October 1.
The Praxair display will feature the use of High Purity Oxygen (HPO) systems that incorporate oxygen into processing systems and will include a new software module demonstration that helps determine the impact of using HPO systems in place of air-based systems to meet wastewater treatment process requirements. The HPO module is included with the latest version of TOXCHEM™, the industry’s leading air emissions and fate contaminant modeling software, created by Hydromantis Environmental Software Solutions, Inc. of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Hydromantis released version 4.1 of TOXCHEM in June of this year.
“The Hydromantis HPO module allows users to quickly evaluate the impact of higher oxygen transfer efficiencies based on different design parameters including specific volatile organic compounds (VOC) and odor emissions to be treated,” commented Ron Switzer, Praxair’s business development manager.
“The performance characteristics of Praxair’s I-SO™ In-Situ Oxygenation Delivery Systems were used to create this module so that our customers can design and continually improve their aerobic treatment systems,” said Darren Richarz, Hydromantis, vice president of sales and marketing.
