(Archived) Praxair Achieves RobecoSAM Sustainability Yearbook Distinction for 14th Consecutive Year
DANBURY, Conn., February 28, 2017 – Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX), a Fortune 300 company and recognized global leader in sustainable development, was awarded a Bronze Class distinction in the RobecoSAM Sustainability Yearbook 2017 for the 14th consecutive year. RobecoSAM is an investment firm focused exclusively on sustainability investing and has compiled one of the world’s most comprehensive databases of sustainability information.
Praxair was one of 13 companies recognized with a distinction in the chemical sector, one of only two U.S. companies named and the sole industrial gases company on the list. Only the top 15 percent of corporate sustainability leaders were named to the yearbook from among 2,473 companies across 60 industries.
A RobecoSAM Bronze Class distinction is awarded to companies scoring within a range of five to 10 percent of the industry’s top performing company’s score. The yearbook provides an overview of the results of RobecoSAM's annual sustainability assessment and highlights key trends shaping each of the analyzed industries.
